I Really Want A Sports Jacket

Reading this article about sports jackets from The Art of Manliness makes me want one.  Someone should get me one. Ahem.

U.S. Limits Tarmac Waits for Passengers to 3 Hours

Monday, December 21st, 2009

The NY Times has an article about the Transportation Department limiting tarmac waits for passengers to three Hours.  We’ve been doing a lot of flying this month – a trip to Las Vegas for Barrett & Lindsay’s wedding and a trip to Reno to see my grandparents for Christmas.  Our flight to Las Vegas was [...]

8 Year Old British Kids Can Say Whatever They Want

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

When your 8 year old son asks you if there is a swear word worse than ‘Fuck’.  Your initial thought should not be ‘Yes’. Your first thought should be “Why the fuck are you saying the word ‘Fuck’?!  You’re eight fuckin’ years old!”  Let alone having a discussion with your child about whether or not [...]

Nicolas Cage Is a Moron

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

According to an article on CNN, Nicolas Cage is very broke.  Why might he be broke?  Perhaps it was these purchases:
[T]wo castles, 15 palatial homes, a flotilla of yachts and a squadron of Rolls Royces
I do not feel bad for this man.

2009 Oxford New American Dictionary Word Of The Year

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

I always like to look at the “new words” list that Oxford Dictionary puts out each year.  It’s usually somewhat nerdy and well, that’s me.

Unfortunately, while the article does mention a lot of states and their respective limits, it doesn’t [...]

Rep. Alan Grayson Continues Being A Badass

Friday, November 6th, 2009

Representative Alan Grayson (D-FL) reserved an hour to speak about health care. Republicans didn’t care for the way he was talking and unsuccessfully tried to cut off his speech.
Alan Grayson has become my favorite Congressman. Please clone yourself, have your clone move to Kansas, and successfully run for Congress. Thanks.

AARP and AMA Announce Support For House Health Care Bill

Friday, November 6th, 2009

Apparently the AARP and the AMA have announced their support for the House of Representatives health care bill.  Despite covering more people and lowering the US deficit, there doesn’t seem to be all that many groups announcing support for Health Care reform.  Nice to see that starting to change a bit.

PGA Tour Golfer Banned for Doping

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

A PGA Tour golfer has been banned for doping. Uh, what? This is particularly odd when you see a picture of the guy, not very, uh, “doped” looking.
